This was my first time using Mike’s Camera in Sacramento. I brought in a shoebox full of my parents’ old photos to be scanned, plus 3 old tapes. The total cost was around $230 for the photos and $55 for the tapes. The service was good overall, especially when I dropped everything off.
Came in the afternoon of a weekday & figured it wouldn't be busy- wrong, this place is popular ! There's a good reason for that: outstanding customer service.We were looking for a replacement for our elderly "point & shoot, (wanting to seriously upgrade) & had some pretty narrow specifications.
This place was extremely helpful! I came in because my lens wasn’t sitting properly on my tripod, and they patiently walked me through all the possibilities, suggesting different tripods, plates, adapters, and more. They even offered to let me bring in my entire setup for a closer look.
Amanda was awesome to work with. She helped find the right new lens for my needs. But just as important, she help unlock the secret of shooting B&W with my Canon R10. I love shooting B&W film and have been frustrated with shooting color and correcting in Lightroom.
