I've used Vermont Camera Works for a number of repairs to my 35mm SLRs and medium format cameras, everything from an electronic Nikon F100 to all-mechanical 1950s Ricoh TLRs. Work is always well done and prices very, very reasonable. Strongly recommend.
Their repair shop is the best. I had a classic Minolta SLR film camera whose diaphragm kept sticking open. It was a gift from my father so very sentimental as well as being the one I learned photography with as a kid. I took it to two places in Los Angeles to fix and they cleaned it but did not solve the problem.
Liz and Jim were great! Jim was able to repair a lens that I thought was a goner. He also replaced the shutter blades in my Canon 6D for a very reasonable price. Awesome shop of you love old film gear. I'll be back for future services!
Some months back my Minolta XG-M 's lightmeter stopped working. Had it since new. Sent it to Vermont Camera came back to me like new. Have an old Nikon F3 I'm sending in now.
